2. Account Registration and Use

You may use some local features in guest mode, or create and use an account through email, verification code, password, or Sign in with Apple.

You must ensure that the account information you provide is true, lawful, and valid, and you must keep your account, password, verification codes, and device secure. You are responsible for losses caused by actively disclosing, transferring, sharing, or failing to safeguard your account.

If we discover illegal activity, infringement of others' rights, system security damage, malicious abuse of AI, API abuse, or similar behavior, we may restrict, suspend, or terminate services.

3. Photo Library and Local Data

ScreenLeaf needs access to your photo library to find and organize screenshots. You understand and agree that:

  • ScreenLeaf's basic organization features depend on system photo permissions.
  • OCR, search, categorization, cleanup, stitching, and similar features may read screenshot content.
  • Screenshots may contain sensitive information such as chats, orders, verification codes, addresses, contact details, financial information, or health information.
  • You should decide whether particular screenshots are suitable for processing in ScreenLeaf.

ScreenLeaf is not a photo backup, cloud drive, or original image hosting service. Please keep your own backups of important original images and data.

4. AI Features

ScreenLeaf's AI features are intended to help understand, organize, and process screenshots or text. You understand and agree that:

  • AI features may require sending screenshot images, OCR text, clustered summaries, or text you select to our backend for processing.
  • AI outputs may be incorrect, incomplete, delayed, misclassified, or unsuitable for a particular purpose.
  • AI results are for reference only and do not constitute legal, medical, financial, investment, professional, or other formal advice.
  • You must not submit illegal, infringing, confidential, or unauthorized content.
  • You are responsible for evaluating and assuming the consequences of actions based on AI output.

We may set quotas, frequency limits, task-size limits, and access restrictions for AI features based on costs, risk controls, service stability, or membership benefits.

5. Membership, Subscriptions, and Payments

ScreenLeaf may offer free features, Pro membership features, and AI credit features.

Purchases on iOS are currently provided through Apple StoreKit. Purchases, refunds, subscription cancellation, purchase restoration, and related matters are subject to Apple App Store rules.

Membership benefits are determined by in-app displays and server-side records. If benefits are not updated in time due to Apple, network, or server issues, you may try restoring purchases or contact us for assistance.

Unless otherwise required by applicable law or supported by App Store rules, purchased virtual benefits, subscriptions, AI credits, and similar items are not automatically refundable.

6. User Conduct

You must not use ScreenLeaf to engage in the following activities:

  • Violating laws, regulations, public order, public morals, or regulatory requirements.
  • Infringing others' intellectual property rights, privacy rights, portrait rights, reputation rights, or other lawful rights.
  • Processing another person's screenshots, communications, orders, verification codes, financial information, health information, or other sensitive information without authorization.
  • Uploading or submitting illegal, harmful, fraudulent, harassing, hateful, violent, pornographic, infringing, or malicious content.
  • Attacking, scraping, reverse engineering, damaging, interfering with, or bypassing the app, servers, APIs, or security mechanisms.
  • Bypassing membership benefits, AI credits, payment restrictions, or risk-control restrictions.
  • Using ScreenLeaf for high-risk decisions or relying on AI outputs to make significant decisions.

If you violate these rules, we may restrict features, suspend your account, delete relevant data, terminate services, report to authorities, or take other appropriate measures.

7. Data Deletion, Export, and Account Deletion

You can delete screenshots, export local OCR data, or delete your account in the app.

Screenshot deletion uses iOS system photo library capabilities. Whether deleted screenshots enter Recently Deleted, whether they can be restored, and how long they are retained depend on iOS Photos rules.

After account deletion, you will no longer be able to use account-related services, and server-side account data will be deleted or anonymized according to the Privacy Policy and applicable laws. Account deletion does not delete original screenshots in your device's system photo library.

8. Intellectual Property

The software, interface, design, trademarks, icons, code, text, algorithms, database structure, and related intellectual property rights of ScreenLeaf are owned by us or the lawful rights holders.

You receive only a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable right to use ScreenLeaf under these Terms. Without written permission, you may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, rent, reverse engineer, or otherwise exploit all or part of ScreenLeaf.

You retain your rights in screenshots, text, and other content on your device to which you lawfully hold rights. You must ensure that content you submit, process, or share does not infringe third-party rights.

9. Service Changes, Interruptions, and Termination

We will use reasonable efforts to keep the service stable, but we do not guarantee that the service will never be interrupted or error-free. To the extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for service unavailability or data abnormalities caused by:

  • System maintenance or upgrades.
  • Network, device, operating system, App Store, or third-party service issues.
  • Force majeure or unexpected events.
  • User permission changes, accidental deletion, local storage damage, or system restrictions.
  • User violation of these Terms or improper operation.

We may adjust, suspend, or terminate parts of the service based on business development, compliance requirements, or security needs.

10. Disclaimer

To the extent permitted by law, ScreenLeaf is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We do not guarantee that:

  • OCR recognition will be completely accurate.
  • Automatic categorization, cleanup suggestions, and long screenshot stitching will be completely correct.
  • AI outputs will be completely accurate, reliable, or suitable for your particular purpose.
  • All screenshots can be recognized, searched, organized, or restored.
  • Third-party services will remain continuously available.

You should back up important data and carefully confirm deletion, export, sharing, and AI processing actions.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect losses, loss of profits, data loss, business interruption, third-party claims, or similar damages arising from use of or inability to use ScreenLeaf.

If we are required by law to assume liability, our liability is limited to the amount you actually paid for the relevant service, unless mandatory laws provide otherwise.

12. Terms Updates

We may update these Terms based on features, services, laws and regulations, or operational needs. Material changes will be notified through in-app notices, H5 pages, or other reasonable methods. Your continued use of ScreenLeaf means you accept the updated Terms.

13. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

The formation, performance, interpretation, and dispute resolution of these Terms are governed by the laws of the place where the service provider is located and other applicable mandatory laws. Disputes arising from these Terms should first be resolved through friendly negotiation. If negotiation fails, to the extent permitted by law, disputes will be submitted to the competent court where the service provider is located.
